UPDATE FEBRUARY 4, 2022
Per earlier communications, the California Department of Water Resources is funding a Drought Response Pilot Program through grants from the Delta Conservancy. A Program description can be found by clicking here. And applications can be found here.
If these links do not work for you, simply visit the Delta Conservancy webpage and you will see the Program on the first page.
Basically, the Program will pay selected farmers $900 per acre for changes in farming practices that will result in decreased consumptive use of water by those acres. If you are interested please visit the Delta Conservancy webpage.
If selected, a farmer will be required to sign a Grant Agreement which will be provided by the Delta Conservancy. SDWA staff will not be available to assist interested parties in interpreting the Grant Agreement or giving any legal advice on the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
